Grand Prix weekend in Montreal attracts a number of people from all different parts of the world. Rain or shine, people are out and about, loving the city and what Grand Prix has to offer; food, cars and beautiful people. No wonder it takes place in our beautiful and vibrant city.
The Backroom, being a vintage, urban street boutique, walked the streets of Grand Prix looking for urban chic people whom dress-to-impress. To no surprise, we found people whom fit the Backroom look. Ralph Ellis and his friend, Amir, when asked about their clothing choice, said that they were trying to be unique while at the same time fitting the urban street look. Juliette, another Montrealer, admits that she revolved her outfit around one item, and then worked around that. As a result, her outfit of choice was urban street, with a hint of trend and class.
Further, Eli, another urban street Montrealer, follows more of the vintage casual look, where she works vintage pieces in her outfits in order to both up-cycle them as well as creatively re-use them.
Throughout the day, it started to amaze us on how well dressed and stylish people can actually be, and how the urban street style has become so prominent in the streets of Montreal.
The Backroom is proud to say that Montreal is a stylish city, where both vintage clothing and city style come together to create the perfect outfit.
